    Watch Your Words.....

All of us have said things we regret. In the midst of an argument, it’s easy to let fly words we later wish we’d never spoken.Their effect is immediate; a wounded expression, a flood of
increased anger, a response of more hurtful words, and escalation in the warfare.

Something within us wants to throw fuel on the fire during a disagreement. However, for the sake of your marriage and your spouse, you must control yourself and resist this dangerous impulse.

The Bible says that God will create self-control in you himself, so ask the Lord for help. He will remind you to walk away when you need to. And He will provide you with self-control and also with “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control” (Galatians 5:22,23)

God can provide everything you need to avoid the pitfalls of uncontrolled emotions.

Remember Solomon’s advice in Proverbs 15:1, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
