Default Popped on a new Dart

Well the wife did. I did test drive it though. Not really great on power, but this is the 2.0 non Turbo/Auto. Bout the same as our 07 Camry though. Of course I'm used to my Rams and the new Charger too.
Comfortable car with alot of electronic options. Still Jelly Bean looking, but in person it does look good and drive well. MPG in the photo doesn't mean much, new car and just taken around town. Suppose to get mid 30s.
Is it a replacement for the A Bodies?..No But I think they'll do well with these when the lower priced cars come to market. This one was about 20. Some are suppose to be the the mid teens. This isn't suppose to be a replacement for a V8 A body, so people are going to have to let that go. This is Mopar's answer for the compact car market. Think Neon or caliber.

Having the gas fill on the passenger side is a negative to me. I dealt with that on my 70 Challenger for years and never liked having it there. Why do they do that crap? The only thing I can think of is it's for the ones that like to run out of gas and they can add gas on the side of the road and not be exposed to the traffic flying by...?
Congrats on the new car and keep us posted on it!

I think (this was her first car bought by herself) it was in the area of 24 with California taxes and such.
They had a 4 speed that windowed at 41mpg, this auto was 37. I always though it was the other way around.

I like the dash. I wish I bought the bigger system for my Charger. I really like the Backup camera.

Congrats! Definitely keep us posted. Looked at a red turbo one the other day just to see it up close. How many speeds is the auto in this one?

Was it designed by Fiat or share anything with Fiat?

It doesn't speak in Italian via the Uconnect....lol
I believe all darts come with 6 speed transmissions. Manual or Auto.

The dash lights up red around the perimeter and when you shut it off there's like a screen saver thing that has a orb in clouds. I have to get a picture of it, can't really describe it.

I believe this is the first Fiat chassis based Chrysler product. It is a nice looking little car.
    I hope she enjoys it.

Looking at our Neon and this last night, I'm guessing it's maybe 20% bigger. So it's not tiny, but it isn't a Hummer either.
They had the Turbo 1.4 car out there, but it was black. The dash shows you we were 100F at 7:30 last night.....not into black cars anymore

Good luck with it. Keep us in the loop on how it is. I want to get one my wife is not sold yet. I want the turbo one. She likes her PT Cruiser and Caliber.

Don't know how hard or easy the new Dart is to work on....but that PT turbo is a RPITA!

    Congrats....

I did figure out why old people almost always drive huge land barges.....I drove my daughter's Hyundai Elantra to my in-laws over the weekend. While it isn't too bad to drive around town, I'm getting too old and cramped up to drive smaller cars anymore.
