I'm pretty sure this entire conversation was written up by the PR staff and never happened, lol. 1981 was the Imperial fs year, yes. 271 of them made and all in glacier blue. I have no idea what the upcharge for the fs was, but I'm pretty sure it was just meant to get some blue paint off the shelves and it only cost them some Sinatra cassettes in a glovebox mark cross case ( read - nothing ). In honor of the fs edition Imperial, Iacocca took a 1982 Imperial and made it into a limo or him ( I'm sure that was part of his payment for being a spokesman or lending his name. Sinatra was notorious for gfetting goods and services as payment just to use the "Sinatra" name).
Sinatra in Imperial #1.
The infamous Sinatra Limo.
Again, the limo.
No clue if that was Sinatra that sold his limo to be used in the Cannonball Run movie he was in, or it was one that they found. But he had to have liked it ( or the profit when he was done with it??? ) enough to want it to be in the movie with him.
