    Default Compression bubbles in radiator

I have an 88 grandfury police with 318-4bbl. When thermostat opens, compression bubbles explode into radiator. I can feel pulsating on the upper rad. Hose. Funny thing is, no coolant in oil. No white smoke out the tailpipe, and so far it's not overheating. I am assuming it's bad head gasket or a crack somewhere. Before tearing everything apart i would like a temporary fix. Kind of short on funds, you know.---any suggestions on a head sealant that has worked for anybody out there for up to 6months to a year? Thanks in advance.

Bars leak has a newer product out that is supposed to repair head gaskets by dumping it in radiator and works with antifreeze.

There are so many out in the market that it's confusing. One is called "blue devil" but it cost about $60.00. Not sure if it works. Anyway, i was thinking to re-torque head bolts & see what happens. Only problem is the exhaust manifolds have to be removed to get to 4 bottom bolts on each side.---want to thank you guys for your suggestions..

The 318 police engine uses 360 heads, which are prone to cracks. Since this is a police vehicle, many, many things could have happened over the years, so a teardown is the only real answer.

Since funds are limited, I would want to make darn sure that it is compression leakage into the radiator BEFORE tearing into it; you can probably borrow a radiator tester from the local parts store that uses a colored liquid to detect combustion gases in the radiator.....do this FIRST.

If indeed you have a leak, I would try Bar's Leaks; been around for years, and not expensive......BUT only as a last resort, and probably only temporary. Not my recommended fix, but might help!

CarGo has a product that's called Seal-Up. Just below the product name, it has 'Liquid Glass Metallic' but you have to flush the system of all antifreeze before using it. Once it's in, you have to drain the water again and let it sit for 12 hours then flush again. A bit of a pita but I hear it works well. A good friend who has a shop told me about it....
