Let me know if you are having problems -- and if you are if you have Comcast as your ISP

I'm pretty sure it is a network or bandwidth carrier issue.

Those having problems can narrow down the issue by (in Windows) by clicking Start, Programs, Accessories, Command prompt, and then at the C:\ prompt type tracert moparstyle.com

Any hops more than 100ms or any timeouts. If you have long waits or "Timed Out" -- then you need to call your ISP and hope you don't get an idiot -- to explain to them that the map their bandwidth carrier (usually Level13) is using to get to our server is screwed up. If you get someone with a brain -- they can get the map fixed or change the bandwidth carrier to their alternate for your account.

Sadly -- I'm dealing with idiots at Comcast at the moment and having a hard time staying on the site.

CoNcast, Dumbcast, DumbCrap, ConCrap.....they suck. Can't wait until we get another carrier out here. Been calling AT&T U-verse to hurry it up because there's plenty of people out here that's sick of putting up with CumCrap. AT&T stops at the intersection....I'm 700 feet away from that.

I can get to the site normal and can even get to the new messaages page. I run into problems when I try to open a thread. It will hang forever and I have to stop / page back and retry. Most of the time it works on the second or third retry. Never done this before.

Just tried this and there were no timeouts or long waits or hops more than like 55 ms? As I mentioned to Cranky I don't have an issue getting to the site, just opening threads or replying in threads.

I'm not having problems now either but I don't know if is was something I'd done or not.

I started by clearing all of my cookies, history and cache -- no help
I tried IE (I use FF) No Help
    Rebooted the computer No Help
I tried another computer No Help
I tried my iPhone No Help
I tried my iphone off the WiFi and on 3G -- Bingo -- no problem

So I unplug the Cable modem, Router, and Wireless router -- and then plug in -- still slow on my server's sites -- but not else where
I check my computer's firewall and I'm not blocking any IP -- as I appear to not have been attacked -- yet

I dump all of the ips the server's firewall is blocking -- mine wasn't there
I run diagnostics all over the server -- it is slick as snail snot
I have them ping back to my computer's IP from the server -- it is slow in that direction too
So I figure it has to be Comcast and I call them and get someone reading from a script -- I'm sure on some Federal program to give her a job. She was clueless and says they'll send out some one tomorrow between 2pm - 5PM. I know that won't go well after another day of waiting

I buy a new router, cable modem and wireless router.

I start at the wireless router and it takes three freaking hours for some reason to get the damn thing to see the Internet -- because it is the same brand as the other. I finally get it going and change over every computer, phone, ipad, ane every other device using the old WiFi to the new one and check the sites -- everything is fast.

So I'm thinking that there must be something in the wireless router that is screwing me -- until I read that Stumper is not having problems now either.

Now I'm leaning toward Level13 having a screwed up map -- and they got it fixed by the time I got back on line.

Then again, I've only been on-line for 30 minutes.

What a total waste of a day I had better things to do.

Now to the spammer issue.....only 27 so far today and they all seem to be from Xrumer crap. I even found a spammer's site that walks you through with how to use everything....but the funny part is that I found them talking about a scammer who scammed one of the members AND the Admin too. Now that's funny....scammer scamming the spammers lol
