Default Mopar Rumors

Mopar Rumors

These are some of the rumors floating around concerning the New/New Chrysler Corporation:

1. The Ram truck and the Jeep Divisions are on the chopping block.

2. Mopar Performance is standing by their guns that they will produce 100 of the Drag Pack Challengers -- while few feel that they will last long enough to do that. It has been said that all orders have been filled and they can deliver almost immediately. The cars are not considered the same value as the old Hemi Darts and Barracudas -- as they are unfinished and require another $40k-$50k to complete to NHRA standards. A blind Eye has been turned to the "you have to quickly race them" and they're showing up on eBay. While it is suspected that they'll never skyrocket like the Hemi Darts and Barracudas -- that the last one will be worth some money and you can expect some jockeying around for that.

3. It was thought that the Viper operation was to have been sold to a man who made his fortune with frozen garlic bread -- that deal feel through. That said -- is rumored that the Viper will soon share a new engine with Ferrari and Maserati.

4. It is said that the number one problem standing in the way of Chrysler surviving -- is lack of parts, because of a lack of credit. It has been said that few will extend Chrysler credit needed for parts to keep the assembly lines running smooth.

5. Chrysler has announced the closing of the Sterling Heights plant. The plant produces the Avengers and Sebrings -- which are not selling well due to its age. Chryslers has announced that it will not of it the plant to build another model.

6. Rumored to replace the Avenger and Sebring is the 200C, which will be built on a rear-wheel/all-wheel drive
shortened LX Platform.

7. Powering the 200C is a brand new Phoenix/Pentastar V6 due out in the next couple of months.

Again, these are all just rumors that the Jungle Drums are beating out. As with all rumors, take it with a grain of salt. Some may turn out to be true -- and some may not.

, if your health care plan is so great -- why is it that you, your wife, your kids, and the Congress are the only ones exempt?

Yup time will tell i guess. Going in the A.M. to our local Dodge garage they have the 2010 H.D. Rams in, the only ones in the area so i will take a look at them. See if they are still solid front axle, engine choices,,stuff like that and i guess they have a B-5 blue Challenger there also.

I figured the name change to Ram was to make sure if everything else went down the drain the trucks would still be viable.
Then again with that dumb commercial, my tank is full, maybe they're trying to kill it.

Unless the government is standing behind them, technically the warranties would be void when what's left of the "old Chrysler" is done.

and the government doesn't need in the warranty business, or the auto business, or the health care business, or the banking business, or the mortgage business, or to Islamic countries who hate us, or in the business of giving $100 Billion a year to African Dictatorships to spend on cleaning up the air when you know it will spend it on Gold Rolls Royces.

Let the market shake out, the the strong survive, and let the weak fail. It is the law of nature.
