    Members:

    Helping a friend of mine decifer his '69 RR/GTX car. Any help will be appreciated! I'll try to attach a copy of his build sheet but if not, then I can email it. Here are some questions (and more to follow for sure)
    1 What is the color of the car?(paint code) Also, is there a web site to get the actual color match of paint?

    2. If I decife this correcly, Is there suppose to b a black stripe on the lower portion of the car? Also, the two colors should be seperated by trim?

    3. Hood-How should that be? Scoops painted gray or all of the hood black?

    Anyone with a picture or two to share of what the car should look like? The car was just sent to the body shop on a rotisserie. So, we want the correct color and how the two colors should be, etc. I was told that there isnt any trim persay but that the two colors was seperatd by a red stripe(?). Any help from anyone to make at least the color it should be will be appreciated.

    Thanks and sorry for all the questions

    Here are the codes per lines from the top. If anyone wants an actual scan copy sent, let me know:

    Line 1
    B246151 324 171080 RM23H9A2461139
    Tim code- M6X Cod-X9
    Paint-color: Vo1then A4 and A4

    The V01 is a code for monotone paint. A4 is Silver Metallic paint There would have to be another code for the stripe?

    The trim code M6X is trim code for Black interior

    The X9 is a code for Black Velvet exterior color but being it is a Silver car I think the X9 should have another letter with it?

    If you want to send me a scan of the build sheet I will give you everything I can find on it. The fender tag codes will help a lot as some of the code work together to give specifics on the car.

          First two lines of the build sheet are straight forward. BASIC CAR; Sequence number B246151 is projected build sequence, Of course the vehicle order numbe is the number assigne by chrysler for the dealer order and should identify the dealer who ordered the car I do not have that information. The VIN breaks down;
          R = Plymouth Belvedere
          M = Medium price class
          23 = 2 door hardtop

          9 = 1969
          A = Lynch road built car
          246139 is the actual sequence number of the build

          Y code 14 is a sold car

          Second line is drive train and body
          Eng E63 = 383 8 cyl 1 4BBl HP 335hp
