  • Parting out Magnum - what do you need?

    http://www.oldhippie.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=547

About ten years ago I bought the above Magnum sight unseen for $5500 and kinda got screwed.

it is a big block highly optioned southern car with a little rust bubbling under the rear glass, and an engine that ran, but needed a carb rebuild. I've stored it inside until about a year ago, now it is outside covered under my large (100x25') rear porch.

ill get more for the car dismantling and selling the parts on eBay, after getting the engine running and videoing. I won't do it until I have more time in the spring, but post your wants in this post and when I get to it I'll give first shot of the part to the first who post. I also have a lot of parts (lean burbs, carbs, speedos, dash units, etc) for Magnums in the loft that I need to photo and list, so there might be a chance I have the part you right now.

if someone else already has the part you need, no problem jumping in and offering yours.

You don't think you can get 5500 back if you offer up the whole car for sale? Been there done that but parting one is time consuming to the max unless you have someone to do the work for you....

Don't recall the type seats, vinyl or leather? Console or buddy seat?

              White leather, no console.

i was able to get over $5500 from parting this car, and still have parts to sell

Dallas and I can strip a car to where there's not enough left for burial rights in a half day. I even got $300 for someone to drag off the carcass after we got the back bumper off.

That really does look like a nice car to part.

PM me what you'd want for the seats, I'd consider taking just the covers, as it's probably expensive to ship seats, unless someone would be passing through Ohio? Do you do any racing near me?
