  • Thanks a lot guys. I did everything myself except the paint and a friend rebuilt the trans for me with parts (Hughes/Turbo Action) I gave him. I also did not build the short block. But everything else - from all the floor pans to the rest of the engine was done by me in my little 2 car garage. Only thing that is going to change is the the fuel lines and I have different velocity stacks because the rear stack in the photo is too tall for my cut in the hood and I have to take it off every time I close and open the hood. But the new ones fit perfectly (old school flat top style stacks). I also need to make some type of master cylinder heat shield because I'm having boiling/leaking issues with those headers being right there. Thanks again!

    • Rocker ; I like that you didn't chrome out the engine, or paint everything orange. Are those headers store bought ? Back in the day, tin snips, some wire and a coffee can would have made a nice heat shield, but I'm sure you can do better than that.
