If American cars ever went to a DCT transmission, you would never consider a stick again.

Motor Trend did a test with a M3 Standard vs DCT. Guess which one was the fastest and quickest? http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...t_first_drive/

Also, a 2013 Viper was run against a 2014 Benz SLS DCT. http://wot.motortrend.com/srt-viper-...ad-383639.html

SLS makes 18 hp less, 132 lbs less tq, weighs 400 lbs more, but ran the quater in 11.1 @ 129 vs 11.5 @ 128.7

hmmmm.... DCT is the way of the future. Now, I just need to get one in my turbo truck!

My particular case, I have 8 race cars (and maybe even my Grand National) that would blow away my SRT8 6-speed, so I never intend to take it to the track. Mine are sticks because that's what I like to drive. Makes me feel the way I did 40 years ago when driving, and I like that feeling.

Did you know that 6 speeds are a $1000 option over the automatics in Canada!!!

And yes, I paid the upcharge

I never understood why they refused to offer a stick on the 6cyl cars. The hump is there and they mated one up in the Jeeps. That would have been a home-run.
