AC iz fer weeniez!!!......I figger if ya gotta have a AC, ya don't need a hotrod!!!...JMO...............OK, made a few more steps toward tha light at tha end ov tha tunnel.....Got tha firewall (front one, between driver and front end)...This firewall iz .040" aluminium to save a lil weight....Shocks mounted, master cyl all ready to run brake lines!!.... Got the firewall (99%) installed between mota and driver's compartment...It's kina heavy, bein 16 guage steel... .....Got all tha front end bac on ...still gotta adjust hood, but have all mount'in brackets made and installed to hole front bumper...Ride height iz work'in out Purdy good, az about 85% ov tha weight iz in tha car, and I have rite @ 3 1/2"s between tha rocker panel and the ground,.,.. ....Front floorboard iz in and iz gunna git a coat ov flat black paint lil later down tha road.... ....Mo pics later, when I git a lil further down tha road.....

then in that case, light gauge sheetmetal for the back windows. It will look like a Caravan CV and save the weight

big ol mom's taxi sticker on the back would be a nice touch as well

Hope you don't have any problems with your front shock mounts. You usually don't want to mount the eyes 90 degrees apart top to bottom. If you don't have too much axle movement, then it won't be a problem....

Or maybe a shock that has a stud on the top would work a bit better.....like what the 60's 70's B and E body cars used.

OK, Lil update on tha lil van....I know it's been a while, but it's been in those stages that ain't much changed that meant anything...I took itout on tha road for a lil stress test today....Drive trane iz nice and smoothe...tha spool and slicks make it tuff to steer in close quarters, but, hell, we poze ta be goin in a strate line anyway!!!.....I had ta tight'n up thashocks a lil to git tha stance I wanted..It actuall set lowerin tha rear than tha front..... Mota sounds reel good, well, sept fer that STOCK idle!!!...It haz a Purple shaft kam kit, It'z a retro 440 +6 shaft....10.5 TRW's, steel crank, and a good set ov stockie heds wit new stainless valves wit 5 angle job and a lil pocket port'in...Torqer II manifold, and a 750 holley( it had a Edlebrock, but ya kan't git jets local like them holleys).... Car iz sett'in in My brutherz body shop az I type this....He volunteered ta do tha body work and paint, so why piss tha boy off, and not let him do it...lol....We juss have to have an understand'in that this van iz a BRACKET TOY and not a sho car!!....Hiz nickname should have been, M&M!!!...Mr. Matickulous!!!....I always kina figger'd bad body work always presented it'self az a purfektplace for a decal!!!.....OK, datz all fer now...I'll put up sum pivcs after it'z painted.....

First pass on tha lil van....Idle punch(2800 converter)...Shift @ 5K...Thru lights @ 6K...Thru tha Mufflers(ole demonz Mufflers, so they wuz prolly plugg'd from dead HP...;-) )...13.04 @ 102.94mph.....Tha 750 carb turned out to be too small...It wuz borderline leen with mufflers...Removed mufflers last pass, labored above 4500, so I shifted and it labored in hi geer, so I lifted before finish...it'z slowed to 13.47....Drive train very smoothe...Drove like it wuz on a string....Never moved tha wheel from hit ov throttle to the end....Drivers compartment very comfortable, and no fumes or smoke up front.....Have to run without fan on till I git to bleechbox and cleen tires, then flip on fan...Mota will cool from 150/160 back to 140 @ finish line!!.......I haven't weigh'd tha lil Van yet, but it'z feelz kina heavy, so I'm figger'in 3500+ #'s,.,...Will weigh it nex week.....,.,.,.All and All a fun day, and a very successful first day at tha track....Only made 4 passes but found out a lot ov info...needs MO GAS!!!And NUTT'IN BROKE!!...I'm thank'in 8:50cfm, or even a six pak setup....Santa, are U lissn'in???.....https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater

A stock 440 with an intake and headers will benefit from an 850 carb! Everyone always told me that I over carb my engines but they go faster with the bigger carbs....
