          and for all the guys that claim a V8 won't fit in a Gen I;

          I'm in on a debate right now w/a guy that has a 90 with a tired (1/4 million mile) 3.9 inside and he's claiming a V8 "cant be done" before '91 model; yours is more proof that that idea is BS... I'll have to try to send this guy over here.

          on another forum, I frequent there's a guy that put a real 3.7 in his... it took some doin but theres an 87 or 88 runnin around NC with a SLANT 6 in it...... that one took firewall mods.
          besides, it was the 318 that Shelby put in them in 89.... same body, even!
          looks like you got a cool truck there.... keep us posted.

              Cool. Your pics looked familiar but at the same time a little bit different, love it for sure. I guess you have tons more pics to add then, can't wait to see them. Funny that this is actually a pretty different project. What block is the motor based off, 340?

              Yep Don, they aren't as easy as the '92-ups but the factory did it several times, from the Shelbys in '89 to the '91 ex-cabs.

                            Just a couple I have on the computer. I have a cowl induction hood on it now to clear the air cleaner and several other things are completed. Wow, that really looks sloppy. The fuel lines have been redone, battery in the bed and wiring all cleaned up. These were just after I dropped it in.
