Default Trade a 09 Challenger for a 70 Barracuda

I think I am going to trade my 09 Challenger RT 6-speed for a N-Code 70 Barracuda 383.

EN1 End of Codes
H51 Air Conditioning with Front Heater
L31 Turn Signal light – Hood/Fender
M21 Drip Rail Moldings
N41 Dual Exhaust System
P31 Power Windows
R11 AM Radio – Music Master 2-Watts
V1X Full Vinyl Roof – Black

E63 383CID 8 CYL 1-4bbl 335hp H.P.
D32 3-Spd Automatic Trans – A727
B05 Production Date – 11/5/1969
FF4 Paint Code – Lime Green Metallic
000 Upper Door Frame – Full Door Panel
H6X9 Trim Grade –High
Trim Style – Vinyl Bucket Seats
Trim Color – Black
036434 Order Number
178802 Serial Number
N0B Engine, Year, Production Site (vin)
N = 383cid/335hp 1-4bbl HP 8cyl.
0 = 1970
B = Hamtramck, MI
BH23 B = Model - Barracuda
H = Price Class – High
23 = 2-Door Hardtop

The benefit of trading for something I like is no sales tax. THe car is highly optioned with factory AC, power windows, PS, PB, and slapstick. The numbers match on engine, transmission, radiator support, and cowl.

It is an older restoration -- with a color change. Why some used a coat hanger for a muffler hanger is beyond me. It appears to be solid and mostly correct (mufflers and paint excepted).

I figure a car like that is worth $30,000 so a trade where I don't pay sales tax is reasonable.

, if your health care plan is so great -- why is it that you, your wife, your kids, and the Congress are the only ones exempt?

How many rounds on the Cuda? I take it the interior looks as good as the rest of the car.

He wanted $36K for it

Quote:
Here is one of those fine examples, Born November 5th, 1969 this is 1 of 4383-4bbl Hardtop
Barracuda’s produced with the Coupe Package. There was a total of 1118 ~ 383-4bbls made,
52 3-speeds, 602 4-speeds and 464 Automatics.
We did not realize how unusual this Barracuda was until we added it to Galen’s Chrysler Registry.
The note in the top center floored us. It has all of the production figures we listed above with an additional
note that "there were 4 383-4bbl V8 Barracuda Hardtops w/coupe package"
