Default This Year At Topeka

Last year I tried to organize getting a bunch of Mopar Style people to rally to Topeka Kansas for the nationals race there. Only ONE commited and went, and he goes every year anyway, 80AspenRT! He had the weekend of a lifetime because I was calling him every 10 minutes to make sure he was out of the way the tornado was coming at him and the race track!

Let's start early this year. Anybody that might even be REMOTELY interested, let me know, or BigAls73Dart know. I'll try to reserve a block of camping area if enough of you show interest, or rooms local if possible (yeah right) for those not wanting to camp. I'll go out on a limb for those wanting rooms with my own credit card to reserve, but if ya back out, let me know soon enuf to keep me from getting charged. That's all I ask.

As most of you already know, I raise Angus cattle. I'm butchering 3 this year, 2 more than I need to. I'll have PLENTY of Angus burgers in the campground every night, and if someone can come up with awards for farthest traveled, wierdest street rod, etc., I'll have rib eye's and t-bones for the winners too. Someone needs to step up and recommend what kinda catagories to me so I know how much beef to bring! PS i usually bring a piece of 12x12 carpet from the local carpet store takeout to put down on my campsite.

Instant Rib Eye winners are as follows: I have my reasons.
BK
Fugly aka Damon
Cranky (DJ)
Hemi67s(Steve)
Padre Bill
BigAls73Dart
Ronnysplymouth
Volaredon, he gets 4 special reasons by my rules
You MUST be in attendance to collect your winnings.
That means if you don't show up, I get to eat your winnings! I DO NOT need to gain another 30#!

Come On Gang! let's get an organized meeting together at a large event and let Mopar Style be HEARD and KNOWN ABOUT!

Ya'll are gonna kill me! ok MUTT and PLUM too! Chit, I might as well leave the hamburger home and bring nuttin but rib eyes and T-Bones! If I do, they're gonna be thin so I can feed all of ya! I'll get the dates soon.

PS MUTT Dorothy hasn't lived anywhere around Kansas for decades, I heard she originally moved to the Miami Florida area, the last I heard, she was a neighbor of yours that peeked over your privacy fence when you were sliding into your hot tub all "au natural" Toto left her and returned but kept the ruby slippers, you can buy t-shirts that say so at the KCI airport, autographed by Toto.

Tornado season is still a month or so away here, but we had a little scare of a possibility of one this past monday nite.

I got ya on my list if ya wanna consider the following.

Full throttle is May 18-20
Lucas Oil (that I had in my mind) is August 24-25 (just a points meet I would think). I'd be pretty pressed to have a bull turned into a steer, (requires one month to 6 weeks after "clipping" before processing, steer processed, aged, and seasoned for the full throttle meet as they are still walking around and eating every day, (USDA requires they "hang" no less than 14 days in the cooler before cutting. seasoning/smoking requires another week at least Don't ask me why cause I don't know. I can't get into my "butcher guy" until March 24th with another one, I'm taking in 3 then. The previous 3 I already processed this year, have already been sold to long time customers (one is several employees of the national weather service in Topeka Kansas, they buy from me every year and now you know how I stay so on top of the weather in Kansas).
Guys, I'm sorry, but with my daily work here at the farm, my part time job, and the processing schedule, I just DO NOT see how I can have one ready for the Full Throttle meet in MAY, please forgive me, Fugly, August would probably work better for you anyway after what you told me today on the fone.

Those of you wanting to commit (mutt, I already got you down) to the Lucas Oil meet August 24th and 25th, let me know. Mopartou, I'll put you on that list as well.

You oughtta be ashamed, you could come in August and not only pound down a few Miller lites but see your mom in the same trip!
