No More Makeovers
Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."

The popular "make-over" television shows convey an important message to our society: Nothing in this world is perfect or permanent. Everything needs improving, re-doing, mending, and maintaining. Sometimes the improvements are necessary; other times we just want bigger and better things.
Our heavenly home, however, will be perfect. There will be no decay, no curse, no rot, and no ruin. We'll never outgrow our heavenly homes or tire of our eternal surroundings. The Celestial City will shine with the glory of God, and its brilliance will be diamond-like, clear as crystal. Flowing down the middle of the main boulevard will be the Crystal River, and on its banks will be the Tree of Life Park. The city will glow with constant light--incomparable beauty unseen by us on earth.
We spend a lot of time here on earth repairing and replacing things. Everything from our buildings to our bodies wears down and wears out. But not there! He who is seated on the throne says, "Behold, I make all things new.... Write, for these things are true and faithful." Our mansions in glory will never need a makeover.
Earth is but a pilgrim's stay, a pilgrim's journey, a pilgrim's tent. Heaven is a city, permanent, God-planned, God-built, whose foundations are as stable as God's throne. E. M. Bounds
