This is my '69 Dodge Charger Daytona. I won't get flamboyant with this ad. If you're looking for a Daytona, you should pretty much know the NASCAR history behind the creation of this vehicle.
The Basics for this car are:
- V2 hemi orange
- black interior auto console
- 440 4bbl 727 auto
- A32 Super High Performance axle pkg. 4:10 Dana
- Power front disc brakes
This is a real solid car which has all it's original sheetmetal, including the trunk and rear valance. Those are typical panels which often need replacement. .I took 3rd place in the '68-72 original restored at the 2009 Houston Autorama over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was probably one of the biggest classes. No, it doesn't have the original drivetrain any more, I won't make any illusions about that. Yes, there are examples of Daytonas out there with both their original drivetrain and sheetmetal; and they are rather expensive. Then there are those with all their original sheetmetal without their original motor block and those with their original block that has the majority of its sheetmetal replaced. I weight more on the former versus the later. But, to each their own. This Daytona still sports its original interior, although it looks like new carpet. With the new magnum 500's with new Goodyear GT's,she runs and drives terrific. Jump in and go. I drove her over 400 miles over the weekend of the Aero Warriors Meet at Talladega last month.
