1978 Dodge Magnum XE[/b]
360-2, 727 automatic (recently serviced), 8 3/4 rear, (yes that's right, an 8 3/4 diff), loaded with all options but factory air, t-tops. White leather, fair to good interior. Runs just fine. Dual exhaust w/turbo's, new t-chain, gears and water pump last winter. Have some extra parts to sweeten the deal. Car's road worthy, I wouldn't have any reservations about driving it anywhere. Have had it to Carlisle a couple different times. I drive it on occasion to work, which is 80 miles roughly. Selling it with it's original wheels, not the ones in the pictures, which are known as "aluminum fascia road wheels" (15x7) Look similar to those "polycast" style wheels.
The car isn't perfect, its a 31 year old car that has never been restored afterall, well maintained to be called on even though it sets more than it's used now, but if you want a reliable driver, that looks decent, runs good, gets thumbs up's and "good looking car buddy!" comments, isn't likely that several will show up at shows... this car is reasonable enough on the pocket book to obtain that. *road worthy
*good on gas for a 360
*solid floors and frame
*everything works
*Rallye (tach) dash
*extra parts (patch panel for pass side qtr. extra same-color decklid, some extra interior panels.
*mostly original paint, shines up nicely.
*you can guarantee you'll not see yourself coming and going. Always receives :thumb: when I take it out.
*oversized radiator. this was used to tow a camper to Floriduh in it's earlier days.
*Solid car for being a t-roof car.
*Good rear bumper (kinda rare these days)
~ Not So Good Points.
*No air, but who needs it with t-tops!!
*Tranny leaks when it sets for awhile, but how many old Dodges don't?
*Need decklid replaced, but have same=color one to bolt on
*Probably will need front end bushings in the not too distant future.
*Exhaust pipe bumps against the frame somewhere in the back on rough roads. Me thinks hanger's wobbly.
*Exhaust leak @ manifold or close.
Selling due to having found several GT's, and I need to commit to one, and I could really use the space in the garage for it.
